Psychologists Richard Tedeschi, PhD, and Lawrence Calhoun, PhD define posttraumatic growth as "the experience of positive change that occurs as a result of the struggle with highly challenging life crises. It is manifested in a variety of ways, including an increased appreciation for life in general, more meaningful interpersonal relationships, an increased sense of personal strength, changed priorities, and a richer existential and spiritual life.”
On my own journey with posttraumatic growth, it is my passion to help others experience this level of growth without the necessity of trauma - what I call non-traumatic growth. The creation of this podcast serves as a platform for those who have experienced posttraumatic growth to share their story in an effort to shine a light on their learnings and insights through which others can work towards non-traumatic growth.
If you have experienced or are experiencing posttraumatic growth and would like to share your story, please complete the form below to be considered for the podcast. While it is not necessary to share all the details of your story, this form serves as the only step in the screening process, so please do share enough that we can strongly consider you.
If you know someone who has experienced posttraumatic growth whom you think I should know about, please share a link to this page with them.
